| Flash Stun Redbirds, 4-2 | Fairfield Flash starter Leland Bullins was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Candiac Redbirds, 4-2. Fairfield reliever Bernard Coste got the win, raising his record to 4-3. Hulusi Mumcu was tagged with the loss. Eduardo Fuentez earned the save, his 5th.
Had Esteban Rivera not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Rivera hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Flash.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Bullins said after the game.
The Flash bumped their record to 26-24 with this latest triumph.
