| Canadians Turn Back Antioch, 2-0 | The Vancouver Canadians topped the Antioch Coal Miners, 2-0, in Nick Adenhart League action at Stanley Park. The player of the game was Vancouver pitcher and China native Po-sin Pang. Vancouver reliever Cai-fei Men picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Bob Tamez was saddled with the loss. Jesús Ordóñez locked down his 3rd save.
The Canadians got a big at-bat from center fielder Mike Gamble. For the game, Gamble was 1 for 3. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 5th hit of the season gave Vancouver a 1-0 lead.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Vancouver skipper Anthony Weinstein. "I can't complain."
The Canadians sit in third place in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division with a record of 24-26.
