| Late Rally by Phantoms Secures Win | The Coronado Phantoms saddled the Reno Raiders with a loss at Phantoms Field. The final score was 6-5. Andy Hegarty, named player of the game, was 2 for 4, including 1 single and 1 home run. The Coronado center fielder scored 1 run and drove in 3. Coronado reliever Jason Cole picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Gerry LaForest was saddled with the loss. The Phantoms sit in third place in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division with a record of 24-27.
Hegarty had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 3-1 cutter from Gerry LaForest, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Phantoms a 5-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Hegarty.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Hegarty.
