| Tornadoes Rally to Eke Out Win | The Tornadoes grabbed a win, 1-0, at Debris Field, overcoming a fine effort from South Carolina pitcher Phil Taylor. Taylor went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. The winner was Hiroo Okimura in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ángel Ruíz took the loss. The Tornadoes, now 17-4, have been playing some good baseball.
Kansas City won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With no outs and Ángel Ruíz on the mound for South Carolina, center fielder Francisco Enriquez hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Tornadoes fans to their feet.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Enriquez said.
