| Phantoms Lick Coal Miners, 16-1 | The Coronado Phantoms defeated the Antioch Coal Miners, 16-1, at The Coal Mine today. Leading the charge for Coronado was center fielder Danny Fernandez. He went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. Jarrod Cousins recorded the save for Coronado, his 1st of the season. Coronado currently is in third place in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division at 23-26.
Fernandez had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the third, when he hit a grand slam. The Phantoms went on to win.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Fernandez told the Coronado Today.
