Multi-HR Day for Banks as Rockhounds Overpower Blazers, 6-3
The Midland Rockhounds defeated the Bloomington Blazers, 6-3, in Thurman Munson League action at Field of Dreams, with Midland right fielder William Banks named player of the game. Danny Zafra, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed 3 runs on 2 hits in 6.1 innings. Midland, now 12-8, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Banks contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Midland in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Banks took a slider from Victor Hernandez and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Rockhounds to leap in front, 5-3.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Banks said after the game.
