| Argonauts Turn Back Canton, 10-8 | Canton got a terrific performance from right fielder Daniel Pumarejo, but it wasn't enough to beat the Astoria Argonauts. Astoria won the Golden Fleece Park contest, 10-8. Pumarejo was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Astoria reliever Eric Martindale picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Juan Ortíz took the loss. With the victory, the Argonauts record now stands at 16-28.
Ignacio Aguilar hit a 2-run double off Clive Macaulay in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Argonauts in front, 10-8. In addition to the double, Aguilar had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
"We came out aggressive," said Argonauts manager Bernard Jacq. "We came out swinging the bats."
