| Coal Miners Lose, 4-1, at Foothills Stadium | The Calgary Kodiaks downed the Antioch Coal Miners, 4-1, at Foothills Stadium. The Kodiaks were led by Tim Gamelli, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs. Domingo Trinidad, credited with the win, is now 4-3. He allowed no runs on 8 hits in 5.2 innings. Jose Artola recorded the save for Calgary, his 2nd of the season.
Dan Groover put Calgary in front, 2-0, when he took Matsuyo Koda downtown. His solo home run came with two out in the bottom of the third. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
