| Aeropostales Get Close Win Over Cacti | The Albuquerque Cacti got a superb performance from pitcher Victor Parga. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Indian Wells. The Aeropostales won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Parga was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. Indian Wells reliever Roger Day picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Hiroshi Nagasawa shouldered the loss. Indian Wells now sits at 19-25, while Albuquerque falls to 18-25.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Indian Wells center fielder Anthony Miller, facing Hiroshi Nagasawa, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Aeropostales the 4-3 win.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Miller said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
