| Canadians Lose, 8-3, at Stars Field | Narihira Murakami left his imprint on the 8-3 Indian Wells win against the Vancouver Canadians. Murakami, who is tied for 2nd in the NAL in bases on balls with 48, went 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Indian Wells, at 18-25, occupies last place in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.
Murakami contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Indian Wells in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Murakami took a fastball from Carlos Carballo and stroked the home run to right-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Aeropostales to leap in front, 3-2.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Murakami said.
