Sardina Slugs Kodiaks to 11-7 Win

A 5-RBI performance from Tomas Sardina helped the Calgary Kodiaks beat the Bronx Bombers, 11-7. Calgary now sits at 19-21, while Bronx falls to 27-15.

The Kodiaks got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Dan Groover. For the game, Groover went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Calgary a 7-5 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Groover. "And not try to do too much."
