| Marauders Solve Armada, 6-4 | The Maple Marauders defeated the Quebec Armada, 6-4, in Thurman Munson League action at Lucky 7 Ballpark, with Maple pitcher Eddie Taveras named player of the game. Taveras picked up the win for Maple, going 7 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. The Armada, now 6-15, continue their poor start.
Maple used the timely hitting of Rickey Moses to capture the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Marauders on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Moses said after the game.
