| Tight Tilt Goes to Paczkis, 4-3 | The Canton Paczkis defeated the Fort Worth Cats, 4-3, in Nick Adenhart League action at LaGrave Field, with Canton pitcher Pete Tolbert named player of the game. Tolbert, now 6-0, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 4, and allowing 2 earned runs. The second-place Paczkis lifted their record to 25-16.
The Paczkis got a big at-bat from left fielder Frank Pena. For the game, Pena was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Canton a 3-2 lead.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Pena told the Canton Gazette.
