The Pasadena Bumblebees got a strong performance from pitcher Gilberto Vega, who stymied the Minneapolis offense en route to a 4-2 win at The Hole. Vega, now 2-4, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. Zachary Royster, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save.

The Bumblebees had to work out of trouble in the top of the eighth. The score was 4-2, Pasadena, with one out. Minneapolis, with a runner on 2nd, was mounting a threat. Hunter Dobie dug in at the plate, but on a full count cutter, he grounded out.

The second-place Bumblebees are now 23-18, the Freeze 14-25.
