The Silver Lake Baristas did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Fairfield Flash at Ashton Gate. Nobody did more than pitcher Cesar Garcia, who captured player of the game honors. Rickey Turner nailed down his 10th save. Silver Lake has now won 5 straight, while the Flash have lost 3 in a row.

Hilario Martínez had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for the Baristas. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Silver Lake trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Silver Lake manager Diego Aguirre said.
