| Canadians Topple Cacti with Late Rally | The Vancouver Canadians bested the Albuquerque Cacti by a score of 3-2, with right fielder Randy Stackhouse getting the main credit. On the day, Stackhouse went 1 for 2 with 2 walks for the Canadians. Reliever Hank Emmons picked up the win. His record improves to 4-0. Terry Yarrigle took the loss. The Canadians bumped their record to 20-19 with this latest triumph.
Stackhouse had a game-changing single in the top of the eighth. On a 1-1 curveball from Melvin Arambula, he banged a run-scoring single to right, giving the Canadians a 3-2 lead. It was the 31st hit of the year for Stackhouse.
"We put together a nice win," Stackhouse said.
