Joplin and Reno duked it out at House of Pain and the Fireballs came out victorious.

The Joplin Fireballs had to overcome a big game from Reno first baseman Chris Maynard to leave House of Pain with a 4-3 victory. Maynard was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. The 4th-place Fireballs improved to 15-22.

Joplin used the timely hitting of Aaron Myron to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Fireballs on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Myron.
