| Cats Stymie Coronado, Take 2-1 Win | Fans who gathered at Phantoms Field saw a good contest between the Fort Worth Cats and Coronado Phantoms.
The Fort Worth Cats grabbed a 2-1 win over the Coronado Phantoms at Phantoms Field. Fort Worth first baseman Dan Thibodeau went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times to earn player of the game honors. Edwin Bustamante recorded his 2nd save for Fort Worth.
The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth when Thibodeau hit a solo home run. It propelled the Cats into the lead, 2-1.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Coronado manager Sean Davidson.
The Cats bumped their record to 26-12 with this latest triumph.
