| Cacti Turn Back Vancouver, 5-3 | Vancouver first baseman Travis O'Leary had a good game, even if his team did not. The Canadians dropped a 5-3 decision to Albuquerque at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. O'Leary went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Their 16-21 record puts the Cacti 5th in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from shortstop Derek Jeter Jr.. For the game, Jeter Jr. went 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Albuquerque a 3-1 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Jeter Jr. said.
