| Fireballs Subdue Minneapolis, 4-3 | Joplin Fireballs starter Dan Fram was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Minneapolis Freeze, 4-3. Gabriel Mullin closed the door for Joplin, picking up his 2nd save of the year. Joplin has 3 straight wins, Minneapolis 3 straight losses.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the fifth, with the game tied, Kyung-hwan Jun was at the plate when Joplin scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Fireballs to go in front, 2-1.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Jun. "Just do my job."
