| Late Rally by Caterpillars Secures Win | Peoria and Bronx duked it out at Excavatar Park and the Caterpillars came out victorious.
Peoria pitcher Jesse Huckins did his part in helping his team beat the Bronx Bombers, 3-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The win was Nick Clouse's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Zong-yuan Sang took the loss for Bronx. Kirk Winman earned the save, his 1st.
The Caterpillars got a big at-bat from right fielder Doug Hinton. For the game, Hinton was 1 for 4. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 18th hit of the season gave Peoria a 3-2 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Huckins said.
Peoria has now won 3 in a row.
