The Silver Lake Baristas scored a 2-1 win versus the Cairo Sphinx at Pharaoh's Temple. Silver Lake pitcher Tenkou Miura nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The Baristas bumped their record to 23-12 with this latest triumph.

The Baristas got a big at-bat from third baseman Vernon Prest. For the game, Prest belted 2 home runs. In the top of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Silver Lake a 1-0 lead.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Silver Lake skipper Diego Aguirre. "I can't complain."
