| Death Stars Turn Back Reno, 2-1 | The Detroit Death Stars scored a 2-1 win versus the Reno Raiders at The Death Star. Detroit pitcher Carlos Solís nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The Raiders, now 12-23, continue their slow start.
Tomas Robles drew 1 walk for Detroit. The 25-year old designated hitter had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Steve King. It was his 16th RBI of the season.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Detroit skipper Edgardo Gonzáles. "I can't complain."
