| Baristas Get Win, Extend Streak to 7 | The Silver Lake Baristas extended their winning streak at Edgbaston.
The Silver Lake Baristas defeated the Birmingham Bears, 6-3, at Edgbaston today. Leading the charge for Silver Lake was left fielder Dale Beeler. He went 3 for 5 with a triple and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Rickey Turner earned the save, his 7th.
The Baristas got a big at-bat from right fielder Hiroshi Kono. For the game, Kono was 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Silver Lake a 3-2 lead.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Diego Aguirre.
The Baristas raised their record to 21-10.
