| Portillo Stars for Kodiaks in 11-8 Win | The Calgary Kodiaks defeated the Peoria Caterpillars, 11-8, at Foothills Stadium today. Leading the charge for Calgary was second baseman Edwin Portillo. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Jose Artola earned the save, his 1st. The Caterpillars fall to 12-18 and continue their lackluster start to the 2038 season.
The Kodiaks got a big at-bat from first baseman Chris Reddy. For the game, Reddy was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Calgary a 2-0 lead.
