| Victory Pushes Flash Record to 16-16 | The Fairfield Flash scored a 4-3 win versus the Bowling Green Racers at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Fairfield pitcher Esteban Montes nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Leland Bullins earned the save, his 2nd. The Racers fall to 15-17 and continue their uneasy start to the 2038 season.
The Flash got a big at-bat from shortstop Juan Carlos Cruz. For the game, Cruz was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 2nd hit of the season gave Fairfield a 3-1 lead.
Montes told a Fairfield Herald reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
