| Cats Win at Indian Wells, 8-6 | Despite a great performance by Indian Wells first baseman Mike Matheny, the Fort Worth Cats defeated the Aeropostales by the score of 8-6 at Stars Field. Matheny went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Chris Durkin, the winner, improved to 4-1. He held the Aeropostales to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3. The Aeropostales fall to 13-18 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2038 season.
T.J. Oster aided the Fort Worth cause with a grand slam home run in the top of the third. For the game, the right fielder was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
"Enjoyed this one," Oster told the Fort Worth Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
