| Long Excels, But Mustangs Win | The Astoria Argonauts got a superb performance from first baseman Zachary Long. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Billings. The Mustangs won the game, 7-6. In spite of the loss, Long was named the player of the game. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Everton Mailes earned the save for Billings, his 5th of the year. The Argonauts drop to 11-19 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2038 season.
Billings left fielder Kevin Parry delivered a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. Overall, he went 3 for 5, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 3 runs and batted in 1.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Parry said.
