| Cacti Win at Peoria, 3-0 | Albuquerque starter Tomohito Ihara had a strong outing against the Peoria Caterpillars at Excavatar Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-0 win. Ihara got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 2 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. Ihara allowed no earned runs. Hiroshi Nagasawa, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from shortstop Miguel Rosero. For the game, Rosero went 2 for 4 with a double. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 20th hit of the season gave Albuquerque a 1-0 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Ihara said.
The Caterpillars fall to 11-17 and continue their wobbly start to the 2038 season.
