| Mustangs Slip Past Fairfield, 4-3 | The Billings Mustangs walked off with a big win today at Cobb Field.
The Billings Mustangs defeated the Fairfield Flash, 4-3, in Darryl Kile League action at Cobb Field, with Billings pitcher John Curnew named player of the game. The Mustangs, now 22-9, have been on a roll in the early going.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Billings trailing 3-2, Raúl Cortéz hit a fastball from Leland Bullins to right for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the Mustangs had a walk-off win.
"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," Curnew said.
