| Baristas Slip Past Minneapolis, 6-5 | The Silver Lake Baristas beat the Minneapolis Freeze, 6-5 at The Ice Box, in part due to left fielder Sterling Maroney, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 2 for 2 with a home run. Angelo Cobian got credit for the save for Silver Lake. It was his 1st of the year. The Baristas, now 19-10, have been on a roll in the early going.
Late-game drama came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out and a runner on 1st, the batter, António González, hit a single. It helped Silver Lake seize the win.
"Big win," said González.
