| Canadians Turn Back Reno, 8-7 | Joe Coleman made an impact in the 8-7 Vancouver win over Reno. Coleman, who leads the NAL in doubles with 10, went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Reliever Hank Emmons picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Mal Goff took the loss. The Raiders fall to 10-18 and continue their lackluster start in 2038.
Vancouver relied on the hitting of Eric Kilpatrick to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Canadians on top, 2-1. For the game, Kilpatrick had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We take it day by day here," said Kilpatrick, "and today was a good one for us."
