Bumblebees Score Late to Upend Phantoms, 2-1

It was a fun time at The Hole, where the Coronado Phantoms and Pasadena Bumblebees tangled.

The Pasadena Bumblebees topped the Coronado Phantoms, 2-1, in Darryl Kile League action at The Hole. The player of the game was Pasadena pitcher and Dominican Republic native Ramón Martínez. Pasadena reliever Willy Ortiz picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Joe Starring shouldered the loss. The save was credited to David Benitez, his 4th.

Pasadena took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, designated hitter Yuudai Fujimori hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.

Fujimori said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

The Phantoms fall to 13-16 and continue their uneven start to the 2038 season.
