| Kodiaks Lose, 4-1, at Ashton Gate | The Silver Lake Baristas defeated the Calgary Kodiaks, 4-1, in Nick Adenhart League action at Ashton Gate, with Silver Lake pitcher Douggie Pitchford named player of the game. Pitchford got the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Pitchford allowed no earned runs. Silver Lake, now 16-10, has played well in the early going.
The Baristas got a big at-bat from center fielder Manny Marin. For the game, Marin was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Silver Lake a 2-0 lead.
