| Bombers Win in Extras | The Bronx Bombers defeated the Birmingham Bears, 8-6, in Darryl Kile League action at Edgbaston, with Bronx center fielder Kenshiro Miyamoto named player of the game. The Bombers, now 16-8, have been red hot.
Bill Gaffaney, who is tied for 2nd in the DKL with a .658 slugging percentage, aided the Bronx cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the 13th. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 2 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"The vibe's good," said Bronx manager Glen Slaughter. "We've got to keep it going."
