Marando Helps Billings Outscore Coronado

The Coronado Phantoms and Billings Mustangs met at Phantoms Field to settle a score.

Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Roberto Marando, the Billings Mustangs defeated the Coronado Phantoms, 12-10. Marando belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Mustangs. The save went to Everton Mailes, his 3rd this season.

In the top of the fifth inning, shortstop Vern Carroll came through big-time for the Mustangs. With Billings leading 5-3, he belted a grand slam home run.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Marando. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The Phantoms drop to 13-14 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2038 season.
