| Bumblebees Lose, 6-3, at Pharaoh's Temple | Pasadena center fielder Sam Henderson had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Henderson was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2, even as Cairo beat the Bumblebees, 6-3. Henderson was named the player of the game despite the loss. The winner was Jun Nakayama, who threw 91 pitches over 5.2 innings. The left-hander was charged with 3 runs on 9 hits. William MacDougal earned the save for Cairo, his 3rd.
Luis Morales aided the Cairo cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder went 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"It feels good to get this one," Morales told the Cairo Gazette.
The win moves Cairo to a record of 12-14.
