The Antioch Coal Miners defeated the Fairfield Flash, 5-2, in Darryl Kile League action at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, with Antioch pitcher Cesar Prado named player of the game. Dennis Montgomery recorded the save for Antioch, his 2nd of the season. The Coal Miners, now 17-8, have been red hot.

Adrián Ferreira, who is tied for 5th in the DKL in triples with 2, aided the Antioch cause with a run-scoring triple in the top of the second. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 2 with a triple, a walk, and was hit by a pitch.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Prado told reporters after the game.
