| Death Stars Stymie Albuquerque, Take 8-1 Win | A nice crowd turned out to see the Detroit Death Stars and Albuquerque Cacti clash at Albuquerque Sports Stadium.
The Detroit Death Stars went home winners at Albuquerque Sports Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Alex Rivas. Rivas silenced the Albuquerque Cacti, enabling Detroit to grab the 8-1 win. Ben Bower recorded the save for Detroit, his 3rd of the season.
Reynaldo Canseco aided the Detroit cause with a grand slam home run in the top of the ninth. For the game, the third baseman was 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
Said losing manager John Greenwood: "Give the Death Stars credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
The Cacti fall to 10-15 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2038 season.
