Right-hander Edgar Alvarez mesmerized the Indian Wells Aeropostales while leading the Silver Lake Baristas to a 3-0 victory. Rickey Turner recorded his 2nd save for Silver Lake. The Aeropostales fall to 8-16 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2038 season.

Had Hilario Martínez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Martínez hit a 2-run single. That made the score 2-0, in favor of the Baristas.

Alvarez told the Silver Lake Times: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
