| Coal Miners Solve Freeze, 3-2 | The inspired effort of Minneapolis designated hitter Adam Champagne was not enough to prevent a 3-2 loss to the Antioch Coal Miners. Champagne went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. The winner was Bernard Edgar in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Katsumi Nakata took the loss. Antioch goes to 14-8 with the win.
Esteban Herrera, who is tied for 3rd in the DKL in runs scored with 16, aided the Antioch cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Herrera said.
