| Canadians Turn Back Rockets, 4-2 | The Vancouver Canadians picked up a win at Stanley Park, knocking off the Reno Rockets, 4-2. Starting pitcher David Peralta was an essential part of his team's success. Peralta picked up the win for Vancouver, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2. Getting the save was Yoshiyuki Matsuda, his 1st.
Joe Coleman drove in one run for Vancouver. The 26-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Bill Rankin. It was his 11th RBI of the season.
"We did a lot of things right," said Coleman.
The Rockets fall to 7-15 and continue their lackluster start in 2038.
