| Earthquakes Get Close Win Over Toreros | Spirited fans at Field de Los Layendas greeted the Cabo San Lucas Toreros for their clash with the San Francisco Earthquakes.
San Francisco Earthquakes starter Carlos Estrada turned in a top-notch performance against the Cabo San Lucas Toreros at Field de Los Layendas. The result was a win for the Earthquakes, 7-2. The Earthquakes keep rolling, raising their record to 2-0.
Had Nelson Marcial not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Marcial hit a 3-run home run. That made the score 4-1, in favor of the Earthquakes.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Marcial. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
