| Loss to Phantoms Extends Reno Losing Streak | The Reno Rockets got a sterling performance from pitcher Lance Crumpton, but the Phantoms still prevailed, 4-0. Crumpton was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball. Juan Vazquez was credited with the save for Coronado, his 1st of the season. The Rockets, now 7-14, continue their poor start.
The Phantoms got a big at-bat from second baseman Andrés Morales. For the game, Morales went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Coronado a 2-0 lead.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Reno manager Wynn Decker.
