| Mustangs Trip Freeze in Extras | The Billings Mustangs topped the Minneapolis Freeze, 6-3, in Darryl Kile League action at The Ice Box. The player of the game was Billings pitcher Ashley Heath. The Freeze fall to 9-10 and continue their uneasy start to the 2038 season.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from catcher Alex Rodriguez. For the game, Rodriguez was 1 for 1 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI. In the top of the 11th, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Billings a 6-3 lead.
Heath expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
