| Phantoms Turn Back Rockets, 5-3 | Coronado pitcher Joe Starring did his part in helping his team beat the Reno Rockets, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning pitcher was Starring, now 2-2. He tossed 5.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 10. The Rockets fall to 7-12 and continue their lackluster start to the 2038 season.
The Phantoms got a big at-bat from first baseman Salvatore Marroquin. For the game, Marroquin was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 7th double of the season gave Coronado a 1-0 lead.
