Astoria beat Minneapolis at Golden Fleece Park, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Jaden Bryant, who earned player of the game honors. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Justin Gilmore earned save number 4.
Ryan Agee aided the Astoria cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the second baseman was 2-4 with 2 singles.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Argonauts manager Bernard Jacq. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
Astoria, now 6-11, is off to a slow start.
