| Cacti Subdue Bowling Green, 4-3 | The inspired effort of Bowling Green designated hitter Jim Greenstein was not enough to prevent a 4-3 loss to the Albuquerque Cacti. Greenstein was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Hiroshi Nagasawa picked up the save, his 4th. The Racers fall to 8-10 and continue their uneven start to the 2038 season.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from designated hitter Rick Giammarino. For the game, Giammarino was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 14th hit of the season gave Albuquerque a 4-3 lead.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Giammarino said.
