| Tornadoes Roll Pioneers, 4-0 | The Kansas City Tornadoes beat the Vancouver Pioneers, 4-0, at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Lane Renouf, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-5 with 3 singles. Kunio Otsuka, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. The Tornadoes, now 14-3, have had a terrific start to the season.
Antonio Santana helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give Kansas City a 2-0 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Santana said.
