| Kodiaks Stun Raiders, 8-6 | Getting a good performance from first baseman Tim Gamelli, the Calgary Kodiaks defeated the Reno Raiders, 8-6. Gamelli went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles for the Kodiaks. Calgary reliever Jose Artola picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mei-shan Huang took the loss. The Raiders fall to 7-10 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2038 season.
The Kodiaks got a big at-bat from designated hitter Tomas Sardina. For the game, Sardina was 1 for 4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run single. His 7th hit of the season gave Calgary a 5-4 lead.
"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager José Díaz.
